Democracy in Action - Town Meeting Day 2026

Town Meeting Day is more than a tradition: it's a day for our communities to come together and participate in local decision-making. Neighbors show up to share their perspectives and strengthen our communities. And it feels all the more important this year, when threats to democracy have impacted our nation, region, and neighbors. 

The Media Factory, in partnership with other community access centers around the state, is proud to bring you live coverage and recordings of your Town Meeting Day's events. 

I asked our production team to share their thoughts on Town Meeting Day and here's what they had to say:

Adam Walker, Production Services Director: "Media Factory has been a longtime partner for several Chittenden and Addison county towns to ensure live and recorded coverage of town informational meetings relevant to Town Meeting Day. In addition to livestream coverage of 30 plus regular town and school board meetings each month, our goal to support Town Meeting Day is to provide consistent coverage in the lead up to Town Meeting Day, allowing voters to watch meetings live and/or review the recordings on our website , https://www.mediafactory.org/meetings, so they can make informed decisions when casting their votes on issues concerning the place where they live!”
