Congratulations to Nico Listi!

Our 2025 Scott Campitelli Memorial Scholarship awardee is an emerging filmmaker.
The Media Factory is thrilled to announce this year’s Scott Campitelli Memorial Scholarship awardee is Nico Listi, a 2025 graduate of Burlington High School and Burlington Technical Center!
Nico works in film, music, and photography, and shared that film is his favorite medium:
“It most effectively allows me to capture beauty and meaning… There are so many components that go into making a film, and having the ability to utilize each of these as tools to build a piece of art that is meaningful to me is what excites me most.”
Nico recently completed a film with Kathir Mak-Dev titled What Happened to New Jersey?, inspired by David Lynch’s experimental thriller, Inland Empire. Nico says, “As we left the theater we began talking about how it inspired us to create something, and once we got home we began work on the film. Shot under specific conditions, restricting ourselves to one light, one camera and one house as a location, we filmed, edited and soundtracked the piece together over the span of a few days.”

This fall Nico will be attending Drexel University in Philadephia, and majoring in Film. He looks forward to working with different film stocks, as well as exploring painting. We wish him the best!
