1. If there was a movie about your life, who would play you?

Christina Hendricks, "Mad Men" style. If I had occasions to wear the style of dresses she wore on that show I'd do it in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, filming school board meetings hasn't required a full dress from the '60s just yet! But never say never...

2. What is your favorite piece of Media Factory technology, and why?

This might be controversial, but I have a strong affinity to the metal ramps that we use to roll carts full of equipment into the van. I know, I know, that's not exactly "technology" but it has really made a difference in my life! I can't tell you how many times I've had to lug heavy equipment into the back of a van by hand to transport cameras and sound equipment. The fact that I can just put out a ramp and roll it all at once into a van is huge! And I think it says something about an employer when you have all the tools you need to succeed - even something small like a cart ramp makes a difference.

But overall, I think the Media Factory has really great equipment and this gives the community such a unique opportunity to create professional quality content that other communities don't offer! It's so wonderful.

3. What is the funniest thing that has happened to you recently?

I recently went to assist with filming the Vermont Youth Orchestra at the Flynn. In conversation, I mentioned that my sense of taste seems different after having COVID last year. When we went to lunch, there were an assortment of sauces on the table. I quickly exclaimed "You guys, you HAVE to try this sauce!! It's like an exotic mango sauce, it's SO good! It has zing!". Everyone tried it and then politely said "Um, Abbie, that's just honey mustard sauce". Then I realized, oh yes, that is honey mustard. It sure did taste mango-ey to me for a minute, though!

4. Tell us something we might not know (a fact or piece of trivia that you know for no apparent reason).

A shrimp's heart is in its head. I wonder if they get a lot of headaches from the thumping? Do snakes get dizzy? These are all the important questions in life.

5. If you had to put your life bio into one run-on sentence, what would you say?

As the youngest of four kids, Abbie had to be very independent at a young age growing up in Vermont, New Hampshire, Maryland and New York and she loves animals, adventure, travel and learning new cultures - but most of all, she has loved using her creativity to produce video content and is thrilled to be able to work with people to do it every day.
