HOW IS THE MEDIA FACTORY FUNDED?

Comcast and Burlington Telecom use public land to distribute their product. In exchange, they provide the public with access to equipment and resources to produce and publish content (Public Access).
Cable providers pay the franchise fees based on the number of subscribers. Our agreement is regulated by the state Public Utilities Commission.

CAN I USE A CAMERA FOR STILL PHOTOGRAPHY?

Yes, several of our available cameras can capture still photos in addition to video. The important thing to keep in mind is that all content created using Media Factory equipment and facilities must be intended for (and submitted for) playout on at least one of our television channels. Therefore still photos must be incorporated into a video project.
